St. Patrick's Unit

This week we have been learning all about St. Patrick. On Monday we learned that he taught the people of Ireland about God. He used a shamrock to teach them about the Trinity. After the children made a shamrock with the Trinity so they can be like St. Patrick and teach others.
This week at Prayer center the children are making a St. Patrick craft.

Tuesday we came into the room and saw a big mess...

We then found out their was a leprechaun on the loose and went to see if we could find him. We found him looking for his whistle in the garden. He told the children a story and had them look for his pot of gold. The children had a ball.

After we read a story about a Leprechaun and made our own. Then the children told us when they feel lucky.
Yesterday we completed our journal entry. Everyone drew beautiful pictures of leprechauns, rainbows, and pots of gold.

Today we sorted and graphed skittles. The children had fun and did an awesome job.

Here's a peek at the jobs that they children are doing this week:
This week we learned about tally marks.
